Eyecon is a free communication mobile app that enables you to easily check the names of unknown callers. Developed by Eyecon Phone Dialer & Contacts, this handy app syncs with popular social media platforms in order to verify the identities of any unfamiliar number calling your device. Not only that, but it updates the photos of the number, and adds every important information about the caller to your Contacts app.
What is the Eyecon app?
Fully titled “Eyecon: Caller ID, Calls and Phone Contacts,” this social app influences your Phone and Contacts and lets you check whether an unknown caller is actually someone you know. It does this by syncing with social media such as Facebook and automatically adds photos to whoever’s calling. This way, you can immediately see who it is. It will also create a photo-based address book and dialer on the app’s interface.
With this caller ID feature, you’ll also be safe from spam calls and easily block numbers. If you’re the one who wants to call, you can also check if your contacts are available with the “Can you talk?” feature. Plus, all of your social apps will be synced with this so you can easily access them without navigating too much. However, take note that this app needs to be set as the default phone app.
Not only that, but you need to enable permissions and access to floating on top of other apps. After allowing these, you have to validate your phone number and set up your profile. At first, your contacts list will only reflect the current information you have saved but you start syncing data as soon as you’ll able. However, a major issue with this app is its slow performance, which is greatly affected by your internet connection.
Can be a hassle
All in all, Eyecon is a great phone app alternative to try out. It has customization options that let you control how your list looks and how your own information will look to other people. The ability to check with a person before a call is pretty handy, too. However, it’s really slow in loading certain features—and sometimes, that frequently happens despite a stable internet connection.
